The short version

You do not need an account to apply, contact us or subscribe. The Signal experience uses an email-bound identity for recovery. We do not use advertising profiles. Optional Google Analytics is used only after you allow analytics storage. We also process information needed for applications, contact messages, and voluntary project-update subscriptions.

Controller and purposes

VOID NULL LTD is the controller. We process information to answer enquiries, assess applications, administer recruitment, deliver requested project transmissions, protect the website, and meet legal obligations.

Information you send

If you apply, we receive the details, links, message, CV, and supporting files you submit. Application material is used only to assess your application and communicate with you about the role, or suitable opportunities for a speculative introduction. Airtable stores the candidate record and attachments, and our email delivery provider sends the internal application notification. Contact messages are used only to review and respond to the enquiry you send.

Job applicants

VOID NULL LTD (company number 16106719) is the controller of your application data. Our registered office is 33 Temple Close, London, United Kingdom, SE28 0EN. Contact privacy@void-null.com about your data.

We collect the name, email, location or timezone, profile links, CV, portfolio, supporting files and message you choose to provide. We use them to assess your application and communicate with you about the role. For a speculative application, we assess suitable opportunities. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in recruiting suitable collaborators and, where applicable, taking steps you request before entering a contract.

Airtable stores application records and files; Resend processes application emails and attachments. They act as processors and may process data outside the UK. Their published data processing addenda provide EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum for restricted UK transfers. See Airtable's DPA and Resend's DPA. Contact us for information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

We keep application material for up to 12 months from receipt, then delete it. If you are hired, information needed to manage your engagement moves to your contractor records under the applicable retention requirements. You can ask us to delete your application sooner.

You can request access, correction or deletion, restrict processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email privacy@void-null.com. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

A person reviews every application. We do not make automated recruitment decisions.

Lawful bases

Recruitment and enquiries are processed for legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps requested before entering a contract. Project transmissions are sent with consent. Legal and security records may be processed to comply with obligations or protect our legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Project GZ updates

If you subscribe, we store your email address with Resend so we can send occasional Project GZ updates. Joining is voluntary. Every broadcast contains an unsubscribe link, and Resend records and enforces that choice for future broadcasts.

Signal claims

When you claim a Signal, we process its ID, your email address, private redemption code, claim and verification times, route signature, optional referring Signal, verified invitation count, reward reservations and terms version. Your rank is calculated from qualified invitations. This lets us verify ownership, prevent duplicate claims and run the optional invitation system. Airtable stores the claim record; Resend delivers verification and sign-in links. We rely on consent and our legitimate interest in operating the optional claim, and retain it while the reservation remains relevant or until the claim is retired. Rewards are conditional on Project GZ’s release. They are account-bound, non-transferable, have no cash value and provide no gameplay advantage.

Signal updates preference

You can choose to receive Project GZ art, development notes and announcements when claiming your Signal. The optional updates checkbox starts selected and can be cleared before submission. We record your preference and add the address to the Resend updates audience after email verification. You can unsubscribe through any update email. This preference does not affect your Signal or reward reservation.

Service providers

Airtable stores candidate records and recruitment attachments on our behalf. Resend processes contact messages, application notifications and attachments, and newsletter subscriptions. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website, and Turnstile processes technical signals needed to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. Google processes optional website-usage analytics when you consent.

Website analytics

With your consent, Google Analytics measures page usage, broad interaction patterns, and successful enquiries, subscriptions, and applications. This helps us understand whether the website is useful. Advertising storage and personalisation remain disabled. Use Analytics preferences in the footer to review or change your choice.

Retention

Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain an appropriate business record. Application material is kept for up to 12 months from receipt, then deleted. Necessary records for hired candidates move to their contractor records. Subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe or the list is retired. Security logs are retained for the provider's operational periods.

International transfers

Our processors may handle data outside the United Kingdom. Where required, transfers use recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

Hosting data

Technical logs can include IP addresses, request timestamps, and security information. We do not use these logs to build marketing profiles.

Your rights

You may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information, and to withdraw consent. Contact privacy@void-null.com with a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
